Program Overview and Purpose
The Thrive & Connect Day Program by Safe Care NSW provides a supportive, structured, and engaging environment for children and young participants to build everyday skills, confidence, independence, and social connection.
This program is designed to support participants through meaningful daily activities that encourage learning, creativity, communication, emotional regulation, and positive peer interaction. Activities may include sensory play, music, movement, arts and crafts, cooking, homework support, recreational activities, and daily living skill development.

The Thrive & Connect Day Program provides a variety of structured, creative, sensory, social, and skill-building activities designed to support each participant’s individual goals, interests, and support needs.

The Thrive & Connect Day Program is suitable for children and young participants who benefit from a structured, supportive, and engaging environment during the day.
The program is designed to be flexible and participant centered. Safe Care NSW considers each participant’s age, interests, goals, support needs, communication style, sensory needs, and family preferences when planning activities and supports.

Safety, Supervision, Transport and Support
The Thrive & Connect Day Program provides a variety of structured, creative, sensory, social, and skill-building activities designed to support each participant’s individual goals, interests, and support needs.
Personalised Support
Assistance is tailored to each participant and may include support with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, daily living skills, and participation in activities.
Health & Wellbeing
Individual health needs, dietary requirements, allergies, sensory considerations, and environmental factors are taken into account to help promote participant safety and wellbeing.
Safe Participation
Activities are delivered in a supervised environment with appropriate support during transitions and guidance for the safe use of equipment and materials.
Family & Carer Collaboration
We work closely with families, carers, and support networks to share important information and ensure supports are coordinated to meet each participant’s needs.
Transport Coordination
Where transport is included in a participant’s supports, we work with families and carers to confirm pick-up and drop-off arrangements, participant requirements, and relevant safety considerations.
Family and Carer Communication
Before commencing the Thrive & Connect Day Program, families and carers may be asked to provide relevant information about the participant, including their goals, communication style, sensory preferences, dietary requirements, allergies, health considerations, behavior support needs, personal care requirements, and any strategies that help them feel safe and supported.
